Spring Clean (N' Spring Gutter Cleaning) Updates
Latest Updates
Spring Cleans / Lawn
De-thatching / Spring Gutter Cleaning:
UPDATED SUNDAY, MAY 5:
** this is our final update of the spring season including
spring clean up & lawn de-thatching and also spring gutter cleaning **
SPRING CLEAN UP & LAWN DE-THATCHING: As planned talked
about on the previous update below, our spring clean up and lawn
de-thatching services did wrap up on Monday, April 29th. That final day
of work was damp, but we did get them done, then it rained more on the
following Tuesday, 4/30 where we ended up transitioning our equipment
from spring clean up mode to weekly mowing mode. So, weekly mowing did
start on Wednesday, May 1st, and if you want more info on our mowing
progress, please go to the weekly mowing progress update page.
As of the end of Monday, April 29th - we were finished with spring clean
up and lawn de-thatching jobs, and no longer able to accept any new jobs
for this spring season. Lot’s of moisture we have been receiving makes
for lush green and growing grass, and our full attention now is on
weekly mowing services starting up and of course the landscape season.
Thank you very much for your spring clean up business!
SPRING GUTTER CLEANING JOBS: We were completing the
spring gutter cleaning jobs as well as we progressed with the spring
clean up schedule. But, we were unable to get to them all during that
time, and on Wednesday, May 1st - we did go out and finish all remaining
spring clean up jobs. Our gutter cleaning this spring now has been
completed, along with the spring cleaning of properties & lawn
de-thatching. Our next round of gutter cleaning will likely come during
the month of July which we call “mid-summer gutter cleaning”. If you are
looking to get on that schedule, please go to

UPDATED SUNDAY, APRIL 28:
Please read our last update as you scroll further down to catch up on
the history of our progress which has lead us to this point.
For spring clean up & lawn de-thatching services, we do plan to get out
during the afternoon of Monday, 4/29 (morning will be too wet to work).
And then finish up on Tuesday 4/30 (hopefully) before the rain hits that
afternoon. If we reach our goal from this plan, that means all spring
clean ups and lawn de-thatching will be completed on Tuesday, 4/30.
Because we need to move right onto our mowing schedules after Tuesday
this week, we are unable to take on new requests for spring clean up
work or lawn de-thatching. If you are a NEW customer interested in still
getting a spring clean up this April/early May, we are sorry for the
inconvenience, but it is time to move onto longer/greener grass at this
time and start cutting for the rest of the season.
For spring gutter cleaning? We are completing some jobs as we move
through our spring schedules, but not all. After Tuesday this week
coming (4/30) - we will have some more gutter cleaning jobs to finish
up. Our first goal will be to finish these by the end of the week of
4/29, but if it stays pretty damp with more frequent bouts of rain, we
may decide to wait until the week of 5/6 to finish the spring gutter
cleaning services (let the eves dry out).

UPDATED THURSDAY, APRIL 18:
After a warm/dryer winter, and if you look further back, 2 dry summers,
we entered into this spring like services were going to be very early.
Then Mother Nature kicked into gear to solve our drought problems (as of
4/16, they have removed our drought status) and late in March we had
several high water content snowfalls that stalled our start date. Then
the snow melted rather fast in early April, and then it was about
letting things dry out enough thereafter. Mother Nature quickly made
this more of a “normal" spring by bringing consistent rainfalls to our
area (not more snow like in past springs). With all this said, we were
able to actually start on Thursday, April 11th, but we have not been
allowed to work for a bunch of days (due to weather) since that start
date. And here we sit at the time of this update a week later (Thursday,
April 18th) with plenty of spring cleaning & lawn de-thatching to
accomplish.
We did have crews out the previous weekend, and we plan to this upcoming
weekend on 4/13. We are putting in the effort when days allow us to, but
again, we all need to be patient, we have not had many days to work
quite yet.
With all that said, with perfect weather, we anticipate being very close
to being fully completed with spring clean up and lawn de-thatching
somewhere right around Friday, April 19th. And that April 19th date for
“finishing spring clean ups” is still even a bit early, so we are still
right on track or a bit ahead of a “normal” season. But, and this is a
big “but” - we do have a couple chances of rain in the forecast during
the week of April 22nd. With this anticipated, we are expecting our
spring clean up & lawn de-thatching service to last into the early part
of the week of April 29th.
As far as gutter cleaning jobs here in the spring, most are getting done
as we progress through our schedules for spring clean up, and any
leftovers we do have upon completing our spring clean up schedules, we
will finish these gutter jobs during the week of April 29th or shortly
thereafter, it just all depends on weather.
Stay tuned for more updates to come!
UPDATED MONDAY, APRIL 8:
As of Monday, April 8th - most of the late-March snow is gone, except
for some piles on cold north sides of properties, or some larger piles
on commercial lots. Other than these elements with snow, we are pretty
much ready to get started with cleans ups and some gutter cleaning. But,
over the weekend o 4/6 & 4/7 and into 4/8, we did get a decent amount of
light to moderate rain. So, at the time of this update, even though most
of the snow is gone, it is too wet to get started yet. Our goal is to
get some work done during the week of April 8th. Current plan is
starting Thursday and Friday which is 4/11 & 4/12. One thing that may
not let this happen is a swirling clipper type system moving through
Wednesday/Wednesday night, and if we just get some rain (does not have
to by heavy), we will likely be to Friday, April 12th before we can
possibly start, or Monday, April 15th (which was our original
projection). We will see how this plays out, but know that we are geared
up and ready, but the turf conditions need to be right. And for spring
gutter cleaning, we do plan to complete these jobs as we progress
through the spring clean/lawn de-thatching process.
*and a quick note: If you have a lawn or property that does not require
our metal rake to go through (for de-thatching purposes), we may come to
your house to complete a detailed clean up while things are a still a
bit too wet for machines.
All N’ All - if we are able to get started just before or around 4/15,
and weather does not continue to be a problem, this is still about 1
week late of average. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks to get to all
clean ups and gutter cleaning. With this scenario, expect this full
process to take up the rest of the month of April and maybe into very
early May.
We will keep you posted!
Early April Update:
Late-March snowfall has slowed our projection for a start date with
spring clean up and lawn de-thatching. Likely now it will start taking
place after April 15th, maybe even after April 20th. At the time of this
update, we are losing our new “snow cover”, and once the new snow cover
is gone, it is about losing our “snow piles”. And after the piles are
mostly gone, it is about the ground drying up enough to allow for
equipment to ride safely over. When we get these late-season snowfall
especially over 100% thawed out soil, it absorbs all the moisture in
instead of letting it run off. I think we will find the ground being
quite mushy for a while after the snow does melt. This is great for our
drought conditions, but not the greatest for machines quickly getting on
lawns. We will keep you posted as we get deeper into April. For now,
please be sure you are signed up for spring clean up as an existing
customer or as a new customer. It seems our window to complete this
season’s spring clean up services will be short once again this season.

UPDATED MARCH 3RD, 2024:
The first big service out the door to kick off any season is our Spring
Clean-up and lawn de-thatching service. And this year is looking to
start early, and at the time of this update, we may be looking to get on
lawns around April 1st, give or take. But we do not want to invest too
much time into predicting start times for spring clean up work. It is
more important as a customer to be sure you are signed up for spring so
you do not end up missing out if it is an early start. If you are still
looking for your service renewals for current customers, please
EMAIL CRAIG. If you are a NEW customer interested in spring clean
up/lawn de-thatching service, please go to

we will see if winter that really never came is really done! ?
