Fon Du Lac - Block

The Driveway N' Cobble Wall:

The driveway began as an un-even cracked concrete area as shown below. 24 Tons of concrete and rebar were broken up and removed.
After some of the old underlay dirt was removed, Class 5 rock fill was used to create a stable underlay for the new cobble paver driveway.
The Class 5 fill was generally installed to a depth of 12" however in some areas where C N' R found very soft and sandy areas, the thickness of the Class 5 fill was installed to 18" in depth.
925 square feet of pavers were installed as part of the driveway replacement - including the decorative trim and circular medallion design show in the photos below.
Be sure to notice the tight integration of the pavers with the existing garage, house wall, sidewalls and driveway apron.

The Patio Area (including Stone Retaining Wall, Patio Pavers, Steps, Irrigation, Lighting, Drainage, Steppers and Fence)

The patio portion of this project involved many parts. C N'R Removed 20 tons of concrete and rebar to prepare the area for the new paver patio with integrated grate drains and drain tile system. Approximately 850 square feet of pavers were installed, including the decorative trim pavers and circular medallion design. After some of the old underlay dirt was removed, Class 5 rock fill was used to create a stable underlay for the new cobble paver patio. A retaining wall was built which included 105 square feet of Fond Du Lac stone and integrated Fond Du Lac steps where sloped concrete was removed. In addition, some bushes were removed and new pavers, mulch and a fence were installed. A bubbling fountain style water feature was also re-built as part of this project, a separate section is dedicate to that. As you can see in the photos below, each of the pieces really come together to create a stunning outdoor living space.
