Core
Aeration Updates
Latest Update
“UPDATED THURSDAY, JUNE 25"
**the next update for this service will be published later during
the week of July 6th
CORE AERATION definition:
The removal of small cores of soil to allow air, moisture, and fertilizer to
get down to the root zone. This process is especially recommended 2x per
season with all the clay soil common in the metro area. Core Aeration is
also available throughout the season for lawns that have special turf
conditions that need additional attention. The customer is responsible for
all underground items to be marked prior to aeration. Via US MAIL, C N’R
will notify all customers at least 1 week in advance of their scheduled Core
Aeration week.
C N’R service forms state that spring core aeration is completed during the
months of May & June & sometimes can linger into early July, but rare.
PROGRESS UPDATE:
Over the past several weeks, we have had some weather bumps in the road as
far as core aeration is concerned for this spring. Because of these more
volatile conditions making lawns too wet at times, plus other services
falling behind due to rain, our core aeration services have been frequently
behind this season as well.
Overall, the above ingredients explain that spring core aeration takes a
longer duration to get done, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Remember, Core Aeration is good anytime of the season, so unless you have a
specific need early in the season for core aeration, such as seeding, then
aerating a bit later is still ok to do, and just as beneficial. On past
updates if you scroll down this page, we had some notes to all our customers
that if you have a specific need for early core aeration, to please email
Craig. We try to accommodate the best we can.
The week of June 22nd, once again, has been a challenge, but all core
aeration that was behind schedule, plus the currently scheduled core
aeration jobs for the current week (week of June 22nd) - will be completed
by the end of Friday, June 26th.
We will continue to aerate through the week of July 6th this season and all
customers that are signed up for “spring core aeration” have been notified
of their scheduled week whether it is the week of June 29th or the week of
July 6th.
If you have any further questions, please
EMAIL CRAIG.

PROGRESS UPDATE:
As we progress through June, we continue to conduct the spring core aeration
service. Yes, we are a bit behind schedule overall, but typically we do
aerate in May/June.
But with the weather we have been receiving at times, it has been tough to
schedule too heavily, plus other services fall behind during bad weather
weeks and we then need to allocate more help in other fields. As of this
current update, our overall schedule has changed a bit and we will be
completing this service through the week of June 29th.

PROGRESS UPDATE:
The week of June 1st ended on schedule, and CNR currently sits on schedule
going into the week of June 8th. The week of June 8th (due to other service
workload) we are expecting our core aeration service to fall a bit behind
schedule, but our overall plan is to be done with “spring” core aeration
sometime during the week of June 22nd. If you have not been notified if your
scheduled week quite yet, you will be during the month of June.

PROGRESS UPDATE:
C N’R is currently core aerating lawns to finish off the spring and into
early summer. We did fall behind a bit earlier in May, but as of the end of
Thursday, May 28, we have caught up as far as our schedule is concerned. We
will continue to email out notifications and core aerate through the month
of June.

PROGRESS UPDATE:
C N’R’s first week of core aeration is planned for the week of May 18th -
and we are already behind schedule due to unforeseen reasons. If you are
scheduled for this particular week and we are unable to get to you, our plan
is to finish up on Tuesday, May 26th. We will send out emails as necessary
late on Friday, May 22 or Saturday, May 23.
If you do have a specific reason to be aerated earlier than later, please
EMAIL CRAIG. Otherwise, if you do not have a specific reason for being
aerated earlier, completing this service essentially anytime during the
season is fine and there is no particular hurry even if it is spring and
labeled as a “spring service”.

UPDATED THURSDAY, APRIL 23, 2026:
At We are still “young” into the season, but at the time of this update, we
are heading towards the end of April, and soon enough we will be talking
more about spring core aeration.
Current thinking is that Core Aeration this spring will not start until the
week of 5/11 at the earliest, could start the week of 5/18. But in the end,
this service lasts from May (once we start) through June.
If you are a current customer and you will like us to aerate earlier than
later, please EMAIL CRAIG as soon as possible before we get too deep in to
scheduling.
In the end, CNR emails each customer about 7-10 days prior to your scheduled
week. Please keep an eye on your inbox for these upcoming emails.

services, please go to

UPDATED THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 2026:
At the time of this update, CNR team members were just kicking off the
spring cleaning & lawn de-thatching season. We, at CNR, do not really think
of Spring Core Aeration until we get into May. This spring seems to be
lagging some due to weather woes and future weather woes that look to be
coming up. Anyways, weather can delay our start to “aeration season”, just
depends on when we get done with the spring clean up work / spring gutter
cleaning.
Typically, you can expect spring core aeration to start around mid-May and
last through June.
C N’R emails your scheduled week about 7-10 days in advance. So, as we get
into May, please keep an eye on your email box.

UPDATED THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 2026:
C N’R is excited that spring is here! Sometimes we can get some long-winded
April rainstorms, and also those pesky April snowfalls. This keeps the turf
rather moist when this happens, and spring core aeration should not be
thought of until the month of May.
We do not have exact plans laid out for Spring Core Aeration. Typically we
start during the 1st or 2nd week of May, and this service can last through
much of the month of June as well - just depends on weather and other busy
services that are being performed at the same time.

SPRING OF 2026
C N’R is looking forward to spring, and this is where we will be posting
future updates for our core aeration service.
Our Core Aeration service takes place 2x per season, once in the spring and
once in the fall. For the spring, typically we begin aerating during the
month of May which lasts through June.
